Local Elections Offices

Whilst the Police Area Returning Officer (PARO) has overall responsibility for the running of the election, and will be responsible for dealing with nominations and declaring the result, each local authority has a Local Returning Officer (LRO) who is responsible for the running of the election within their local authority area.

Seven local authorities make up the West Midlands Police area. They are Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton.
